The rules and expectations detailed below are very important to the success of our lacrosse teams. Please read them carefully and sign as acknowledgement of your: 1) familiarity with its contents and 2) agreement to abide by all rules and expectations.
General Guidelines:
- Alcohol or drug use at any time or any place will not be tolerated and is grounds for immediate expulsion from the team. Any player using drugs will be expelled from the team.
- Abusive language, disobeying coaches, theft, dishonesty, unsafe behavior, and fighting are not acceptable at any time and will be disciplined.
- You are expected to support sportsmanship in lacrosse both on and off the field. Please remind supporters to show respect at our lacrosse games as well.
- Your schoolwork takes priority. Plan your time so you can keep your commitment to your lacrosse team while doing your best at school.
- Arrive at practices 15 minutes before start time. You should have all your equipment on and be ready to start practice at the designated time. Late arrival disrupts practice and is unfair to your teammates and coaches.
- Helmets must be worn at all times when on the field which includes the whole game.
- No gum chewing.
- No undressing of uniform before the end of game handshake. The coach will make the call to remove helmets.
- Attendance at practices is important and crucial to your skills development. If you cannot attend practice, please try to call or email your coach ahead of time.
- You should plan on staying for the entire practice. If you must leave early, notify a coach before you leave.
- You are responsible for bringing your own water to every practice. Water will be provided on game days. No flavored drinks are permitted on the field.
- Roughhousing and goofing-off disrupt practice and such behavior will be disciplined.
- At games you are expected to show the highest standard of sportsmanship. Opponents and officials will not be taunted or harassed in any way. No one except the coach should say anything to the referees during a game. No "trash talking" to opponents on or off the field will be tolerated.
- You are responsible for your own trash and are expected to help keep the fields clean. (This includes our fields and our opponent's fields.)
